Barge Boards
The barge board is the board that is fastened to the gables of a property to provide strength and stability and protect the exposure of existing roof timber. At Bespoke Guttering, we supply and install a wide range of barge board with different styles and colours to suit any property.
If you have existing timber barge boards and the timber is in relatively good condition, then we recommend using capping barge boards. We use 10mm thick barge boards, all of which are available in lengths up to 5 metres and with various height options available.

Fascia Boards
The fascia board is the long straight board that runs along the lower edge of the roof. Again these come in a range of materials, widths, heights, colours and styles.

Soffit Boards
The soffit board sits underneath the fascia board. For most properties, it is the board that is usually visible from street level and so it is important that it be aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
When it comes to new build projects, a pre-vented soffit which has vent slots is commonly used. The purpose of these vent slots is to provide ventilation and air flow into the roof area. To meet current building regulations for new roofs of 30 degree pitch and above, vent slots must provide ventilation to the equivalent of a 10mm clear air gap. For flat roofs or roofs with a low pitch we recommend a double vented board.
If it is old timber boards which need to be replaced, we recommend our multi-purpose Soffit Boards. At 10mm thick, they are ideal for the job and also come in a range of widths from 100mm to 404mm.
